We are a manufacturer that seeks to avoid having our retail customers
discount some of our key products to their consumer customers.
We are familiar with the concept of "Minimum Advertised Price", but
also aware that there are stringent price fixing laws to comply with.
We seek to develop a policy that is legal and effective. To that end,
we seek information on:
- guidelines/suggestions on how to set an effective MAP policy with retailers
- legal considerations, and/or how to comply with related price fixing laws
- do's and don't's in setting MAP policy
- success stories & disasters?
- resources available for further consultation
- does the law relate to all products, or just some product
categories? We are a sporting goods manufacturer.
fyi, I have done a rudimentary google search on this and found some
basic information, mostly the policies of some manufacturers...
Thanks. |
