   I am looking buy a rare saltwater fish. I can't seem to find this
anywhere. I am hopeing you could help me. I am looking to buy a
saltwater fish called "Leafy Sea Dragon" It kind of looks like someone
took a plant and shoved it into a sea horse. Please let me know.

Unfortunately, you can?t. In 1991, the Australian Department of
Fisheries, concerned by the rapidly decreasing numbers of the leafy
sea-dragon, declared it a totally protected species. Leafy sea dragons
are now officially considered a ?totally protected species" in both
South and Western Australia (where they are found) and can no longer
be captured or sold. The South Australian government only allows one
brooding male to be collected each year for scientific purposes.
Captive-bred hatchlings born of the brooding male are sent only to
educational and research programs such as accredited scientific
Aquariums.
