rxsunandsea, South Carolina is a member of the "Driver License Compact" database, which to you means that they check with all states except Michigan and Wisconsin, which are currently not members of the Compact. Driver License Compact http://www.dui.com/whatsnew/driverlicensecompact.html This chart is offered on a California web site but is good for all 50 states. An agreement between these states bascially says you have only ONE drivers license record. "Driver License Compact - Guidelines for Motor Vehicle Administrators" http://www.dui.com/dmvinformation/CompactDLCProceduresManual.pdf This document is in PDF format and might take a minute or two to load. If I Can be of further assistance to you in regards to drivers licensing in South Carolina, please don't hesitate to ask via the "Request For Clarification" feature. ~~Cynthia Search strategy: Related question: Re: drivers licsensing in other states http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=438023 |
