Almost without fail, when I eat chicken meat, it tends to 'lodge' in my throat and I need water to clear it. It causes me to choke and then hurts as it travels downward once I drink the water. I believe I chew it well (25-30 chews before swallowing). The doctors have no explanation and obviously say 'don't eat chicken.' I had an MRI scan, did the GI 'thing' and no problem was found. I want to understand the 'why.' | |

It might help to have a cine esophogram with speech pathology to look dynamically at your swallowing. |
