I got a ticket for NYC Traffic Rules: Traffic Lane (e) (1). The
complainant's comments were obstructing traffic. What really happened
was another driver double parked so that he can switch driver with me.
There was a van parked in front of me apparently also getting a
ticket. After I got into the car I turned my turning light on so that
I can pull out from behind the van but had to yield to traffic coming
from behind. The same traffic officer ticketing the van in front of me
walked down to me and asked to see my driver license & ticketed me. I
tried to plead to the traffic officer that I had just switched driver
but the officer didn't care. Can I fight this ticket?
