Is second-hand smoke more harmful then smoking a cigarette?

Such claims have been made, but it is counter intuitive, as the smoker
is breathing about as much poluted air as the non-smoker sharing the
room. Also the cigarette removes some of the harmful ingrediants when
the smoker sucks the smoke into in, and the lungs of the smoker remove
more harmful ingrediants as the smoker exhails. My tentative
conclusion is second hand smoke is at least slightly less harmful than
smooking.   Neil
