vacancy rates, building permits for future units (or housing starts),
5 yr historic rental and vacancy rates.

nickj-ga,

There are specialty real estate services that provide much of the
information you are looking for. The catch is, they charge for it.
And even at these services, it seems unlikely to me that youll find
everything you've listed in your question, though they may well have
an awful lot of it.

For instance, the most comprehensive service that I know of offers the following:

--Quarterly forecasts of the major real estate stats in 54 of the
major urban markets in the US, including vacancy rates, supply and
demand, and rent changes

--Database monthly reports of both new and planned construction in
more than 300 urban markets.

There's a lot in these reports, but like I said, probably not
everything you're looking for. And there's also a lot of information
you don't want -- in additional to multifamily housing, the reports
also cover offices, hotels, etc.

However, if a service like this one doesn't have the data you need, I
rather doubt anyone does.

Would you be interested in knowing about subscription-based services
as an answer to your question, or are you looking only for free
sources of information?

Let me know.

i dont need the specialized monthly info as provided by the service
providers. I was looking for more general market info, even if it is
a little dated.

Can you provided that info?

What would the costs be if i went the route of a paid service provider?
