To whom it may concern, I currently have over 200GB of music and pictures stored on my internal 320GB harddrive. If anything were to happen to this data, especially the irreplacable pictures, I would probably set the building on fire. I also have a 320GB external harddrive. I have copied the data I want onto this drive. I bring this drive to work with me, and various other places. My problem is that I modify files on both the internal and external hard drives, and I need a way to sync them up. I would like to find a free program that will let me, say, select two folders to compare. For instance, I could select my "Music" folder on my internal, and my "Music" folder on the external, and it would show me the differences, quite in the same way that the IDE Eclipse does for its CVS synchronizing. I don't mind spending a little time to make sure everything goes smoothly. I am afraid of a fully automated system. Any suggestions about another method, or suggested software that performs how I described would be greatly appreciated. Thanks garbonzo |
