Hi crowmoon, Thank you for accepting my findings as an answer to your question. Biography for Al Waxman "I am Canada. I'm a lover of life. I'm a dreamer of dreams. And I believe it's time I said, 'I Love You', But I got to hear you say you love me too." -- Lyrics from the 1978 disco song "Gotta Hear You Say It Too" written by Al Waxman. Internet Movie Database http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0915382/bio "1935 Al Waxman, Actor/Director/songwriter, b: Toronto, Ontario, Canada, d: Jan., 18, 2001, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (during heart surgery). nee: Albert Samuel Waxman. Al will basically always be recalled as an actor and director, but his song "Gotta' Hear You Say It Too", will also be remembered. "I am Canada. crowmoon -- A song called "I Am Canada" was co-written by Dennis Whitty, who apparently is a fairly obscure country/rock singer. His website is linked here: http://www.denniswhitty.com/Profilepage.html However, I haven't been able to confirm that his "I Am Canada" is the one that interests you or, if it is, that he was the singer that you heard. markj-ga |

rainbow, Looks like this is the one, at least on the right track. I've called numerous stations, checked in with Arthur Black/Danny Marks... and asked several 'experts' and this is the the most help so far. Thank you. Crowmoon |

Rainbow, Your information answers the question 'who wrote it' and the year. Further search mentions Skip Prokop as writing the music, I guess I can 'assume' he recorded it also. I may have to email him to verify. Go ahead and post your answer as 'official.' Thank you, Crowmoon |
