I am an immigrant that moved to America 14 years ago.  I have some
money in a bank account back in my home country that has been there
since before I moved and I also have some property in home home
country.  I would like to bring the money here.  What are the tax
implications involved with this?  Also, I want to sell the property
and bring the funds here.  What are the tax implications of this?

Are you are a permanent resident of the USA? obtained citizenship? 
Have been filing Federal tax returns for the time you've been in USA? 
Off-shore property in your name or in the name of a corporation?  a
relative?

I am a permanent resident.  I pay yearly income taxes.  The property
is in my name.  There is a second property that is in the name of a
relative.
