I am an immigrant that moved to America 14 years ago. I have some money in a bank account back in my home country that has been there since before I moved and I also have some property in home home country. I would like to bring the money here. What are the tax implications involved with this? Also, I want to sell the property and bring the funds here. What are the tax implications of this? |

Are you are a permanent resident of the USA? obtained citizenship? Have been filing Federal tax returns for the time you've been in USA? Off-shore property in your name or in the name of a corporation? a relative? |

I am a permanent resident. I pay yearly income taxes. The property is in my name. There is a second property that is in the name of a relative. |
