Have you overclocked your system?
Is your RAM faulty?

Hi,

I haven't done so intentionally, I might have installed an application
that could have caused this to happen. I use an IBM ThinkPad T42 that
I bought off the web two months ago, so that might give you some
leads? :-)

An error like this could mean many different things. Ususally it has
something to do with the computer memory. What exactly is hard to
determine. It could be a random 1 got changed to a 0, or your memory
is going bad, or bad programming. See it if happens at the same time,
or after doign the same amount of things on the computer, or at a
certain part in the software.

I have a lot of experience working on ThinkPad computers and whenever
I get an error like this it can be either the RAM or the hard drive.
(ThinkPads love to give strange errors) I would reccoment running the
DFT and PC Doctor tests on your laptop. (DFT first takes up to 40-50
mins max, then PC Doctor which tests the entire machine and can take
up to 2 hours) I would provide a link other than just
http://www.ibm.com but the IBM site is just terrible :(. You should be
able to go to downloads and drivers, enter your computer information,
and it should be under the category Diagnostic tools.

Hi,

Do the following:

1) Check the RAM and see if dust is around, if it is there clean the
RAM and the RAM Slot as well.

2) Update your system with Current Windows Update Patches from Microsoft.com
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

It will surely help u.

Cheers!!!
