I need any statistics available on gift certificate sales in the USA
and if possible Canada as well. These statistics should contain
approx yearly gift certificate sales from USA companies as a whole or
by individual companies such as giftcertificates.com, amazon.com, or
eBay. The statistics, if possible, should show how many are actually
redeemed as well. Please include any references to publications where
information can be found. I am looking for any statistics regarding
gift certificates on a large scale. By this I mean, I do not need to
know how many gift certificated sold for Joe Shmoes Backyard Tools, I
need statistics from major companies or national statistics. All
factual information is greatly appreciated. A separation of retail
sales and eCommerce sales would be appreciated. Thank you!
