Without having firsthand experience with Rediker, it is hard to say. However, Blackbaud's data structre and import/export utilities are incredibly difficult to use if you are not well versed in relational databases. Check out the Yahoo TRE group, there are a number of Blackbaud users there and a common thread is data issues. |

Here is my opinion. Rediker and BlackBaud are very different software programs. BlackBaud: Very popular for their fundraising tool - we used to have it. Known to be a great product, very feature-rich but tends to become over complicated. The cost is also close to 10 times that of Rediker. The various areas are great independently but do not integrate well. Rediker: Been around for a while - solid product, inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Also, they don't offer much definability. You should also look into online software - Principle Data Systems (http://www.principledata.com) is a good one. No software to install and they offer the entire suite of integrated tools. Pricing is low too bc you won't need purchase equiptment - they host everything. |
