My cousin is applying for medical residency programs. She is apparently getting ready for the "post-match scramble," which is that 48 period after the residency positions are announced that people can literally "scramble" to pick up any open positions. It's supposed to be a pretty frantic period. I wanted information on how best to prepare for this stage of the game. 1. How effective/reliable are services such as those offered by fmgamerica.com? It looks like they walk you through the process, handle the intense paperwork, follow-up with residency openings after the scramble. Has it actually worked for people? Or are they a gimmick, playing off of people's anxieties and fears over the process? 2. Are there other such services that are reputable/more effective? 3. How should one otherwise prepare for the post-match scramble? Thank you. |
