Since you haven't mentioned too many details about this girl, this answer is going to be quite general. In my personal experience (since I was a 15-16 year old girl just a a few short years ago), you have to keep your ears open for any clues that she might have given you. If you have known this girl for some time, then there has surely been a time when she has mentioned a band, or a singer, or an actor, or a movie, or a soccer / volleyball celebrity that she adores. Movies, and music DVDs are always a good choice. The latest gadgets that are a craze would also be really welcome - For instance, last year everyone was nuts for an i-pod. However, I would strongly advice you that if you want to seem like you would make an extremely considerate boyfriend, you need to do something extra - over and above the simple act of going to the store, and purchasing the gift. For instance, if you were going to buy this girl the i-pod, go the extra mile, by getting it in her favourite colour, or getting her a funky cover with it - AND filling it up with the kind of music she's into. |

Objective: convert platonic female friend into girlfriend. Proposed method: Bribery You would be a lot better off taking her to sporting events that she is keen to see, on the basis that continued physical proximity often leads to ... However, girls are a lot smarter than they appear on the surface - while they do respond to bribery, they tend to make the decisions and control events. Ever heard of a Venus Fly Trap ? If she wants to de-platonize your friendship, then she'll set the time and place, although 'a spot of Madiera M'Dear' might speed things up a bit. |
