There was a show on CBC or on CTV that talked about an MRI clinic on
wheels that was going from city to city offering anybody a complete
scan and printout of their entire body. I recall the price tag was
around 800.00$ ... (that may be a keyword search I'm not sure).

I need information about this show as I can find nothing on that
specific mobile MRI clinic--it was like an RV or big bus--where in
Canada it is now ? Contact information ?

Remember, I'm looking for this specific MRI clinic not just any
clinic. It gives you an entire printout and is a bus of some sort.

What city specifically do you need this MRI on Wheels to pass through?
I found one in Gig Harbor, WA, but you are in Canada.

Cyntia

Any vehicle passing through the province of Nova Scotia (Halifax is
the capital) or through southern-mid New Brunswick which is directly
connected to the upper eastern states.

More importantly, to find contact numbers of a vehicle that offers the
service in Canada--mainly the Eastern part. From there I can start
building information ...

Thanks,

Hi djm1,

I'm not certain if this is the one, but this may interest you anyway:

"The new mobile MRI scanner is scheduled to begin travel in the
southern corridor of BC in early 2005 with stops at Cranbrook?s East
Kootenay Regional Hospital, Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, and
Penticton Regional Hospital. Ferro says, ?the sharing of technology,
staff and costs is the only way to make a publicly funded MRI service
realistically affordable for a population of our size?. This
diagnostic clinic on wheels represents a $3M investment in health care
and will provide 450 Kootenay Boundary residents with MRI scans close
to home."

They don't acutally mean an MRI on a bus doing city tours, this is
just an MRI device that can be moved and used at different hospitals
in a specific area, it isn't the same thing.

Thanks for trying ...

I can't find the specifc one in Canada, although I have a suggestion
that is was provided by a company called Vital Imaging -
http://www.vitalimaging.com/index.html. They certainly seem to have
offere full body scans for under $1000

Mobile scanners have made the news in the UK as Alliance Medical have
been contracted to run 12 mobile MRI units on behalf of the NHS.

The Alliance Medical vehicles (and others) seem to be provided by a
company called Medical Coaches.
http://www.medcoach.com/products/mri/index.html

I suspect that if you contact them you can get contact details for
most mobile MRI units in the US and Europe.

Lostpost ...

So far you have given me the most information and I have contacted two
of the companies you've provided, it certainly is a long shot but a
start and I thank you greatly for this. Within the next 10 days if
nothing more useful shows up I will reward you with 5.00$ which will
be the least I can do.
