Greeting Googleteers!

I'm an actor/singing living in New York City. I have been in a
relationship for about a year and a half with "Brad" from Vermont, who
is an Environmental Studies Major, Political Science Minor.

The conundrum? We want to move in together, but there don't seem to be
any jobs in his related field in the NYC area, or colleges which would
often masters' in this area. What he wants to do is park planning, or
environmental policy.

The challenge is to find either job openings in the related field in
the NYC area (NYC area for me = up to 30 miles outside manhattan) , or
a college which has a good program for national park related issues.
I'll accept either one or the other (job or college) because they're
both different and fairly specific, but both will garner a generous
tip.

Here some info I'd like for
jobs: A contact person, job description, salary if possible, and location.
Colleges: Contact person, program descriptions, application due dates.

Thanks in advance for any forthcoming help! I really love this guy
and hope we can find a way to live together before 2010! :-P

I did my undergrad work in Environmental Science at SUNY Purchase College:

It's a terrific program. "Brad" would get a solid education in envi
science or policy, and you would get a real kick out of the theater
resources available there, even if you don't attend yourself.

Top notch school.

Let me know if this is the sort of thing you're looking for, at least
on the education front.

Hey there pafalafa!

It's on the right track, but it would need to have a program, or
professor there which/who would specialize in National Parks.
Specifically, park planning, park policy, etc. As further reference:
Brad's thesis is on "The Effect of multi-culture/multi-ethnic visitors
on National Parks" or something thereabouts.

If SUNY-P has something like that, this would be a great track indeed!
And again, names of professors in said program, and a program
description would be what I'm looking for.

PS, Brad also has a theater concentration, so perhaps the theater dept
would interst him as well!
