I have Windows 98 on one PC and Windows 2000 Professional on my laptop. How can I easily have all my items in "Favorites" be alphabetized? I do not want to move them one by one. |

Hi, Being an organizatinal freak myself, I can't stand it when my start menu or my "Favorites" menu becomes out of order. So, in order to alphabetize them, here's what you do: 1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Click on the Favorites menu 3. Move your mouse down past Add to Favorites and Organize Favorites to one of the favorites links 4. Right click your mouse 5. Choose Sort by Name (it should be the next-to-last menu item) 6. Do the same for folders within the Favorites menu if you desire. That's it. This should alphabetize items in the Favorites menu in IE as well as in the start menu. This answer assumes that you have IE 6.0, but the solution should work as well in earlier versions. Thanks, secret901-ga. Great job. Oh, to be organized and find stuff in its place. Too bad I couldn't do a "right click" on my office!!! Wow, would that be great---ORGANIZED!! God bless you to know and do His will! John Pendleton |
