Is LAMDA grade 8 the equivalent of an "A" level? how do I authenticate
this claim?
There must be some data base or screening program that universities
use for this stuff |

Are you looking for American universities that require the LAMDA Grade
8, and you have A'Levels? Or are you looking at UK universities that
require A'Levels and you have the LAMDA qualification?
Thanks!

My last request for clarification was possibly not entirely clear.
What I'm asking is which universities are you interested in - those in
the UK or the US?
Thanks!

Oops! I should have done a little research prior to asking my previous
clarification questions. I hadn't realize the LAMDA was a UK
qualification. No need for clarification :-)

my daughter has LAMDA grade 8. What I would like to know is how a UK
university would rate this, for example as the equivalnet of an "A"
level, or a GCSE (and at what grade)
Thankyou

Hi,
According to UCAS, LAMDA qualifications don't automatically carry a
'points score' as A-levels do; so it's impossible to say that, for all
institutions, they will carry the same weight.
Is your daughter applying for a music or a drama degree?

My question's rather hypothetical at the moment as my daughter's some
way off university application, but her interest is in drama, not
music.
Trying Admissions Offices is a good idea, but I'll save it for a while
as this must be their most frantic time of year,
Thankyou
