IBM's DB2 version 9, codenamed Viper, will provide built in support
for XML. Will this be backwards compatible with XML Extender for DB2
8.1? I.e. will I have to do any porting come Version 9 if I use the
XML extender user defined xml types with db2 8.1? A link to an IBM
official statement about this would be best, but I'd take any
reputable source as sufficient.
