Question ID: 443853
We have several devices that we work with that detects Cellular phones
while they are active (transmitting data).
We are looking for manufacturer (not a dealer or distributor) that has
a small mobile device that can detect cellular phones while they are
in standby mode (powered on but not in a call mode).
The device has to work with several popular systems like GSM, CDMA.
Also all frequencies have to be supported (900, 1800, 1900 MHZ).
Range of detection has to be 2-3 meters or even smaller but not touching-range.
We know that such device is available (handheld) that currently is in
use by the Hungarian Flying company where the stewardess walks through
the passengers and find who has a mobile phone working.

These folks claim to have what you seem to need:

http://www.dpl-surveillance-equipment.com/shopping_cart/product15.html

Scroll past the stun guns to find their "Cellular spy phone detector", which:

--is handheld

--detects active and dormant cellular phones.

--Indoors typical range 20 meters

--The CSPD is optimized for use on GSM, PCS and Nextel networks. CDMA
is currently detectable only at short range. This deficiency will be
corrected at next upgrade which will be available to existing users in
the form of a slot card.

Does this look like what you need?

It looks like the device that we need butv, as I stated in the
question, I am looking for the original manufacturer and not a
reseller.
I am sorry, but I can con accept this answer as only the manufacturer can help me.

I am willing to pay much more than a regular question as long as the
answer is complete.

The device (http://www.dpl-surveillance-equipment.com/shopping_cart/product15.html)
looks like the one I need but as long as it is not the manufacturer
and has no recognizable marks on it to find the manufacturer, I can
not use it.
The price stated on this site is not one I can allow as it's not
marketable with this price-tag.

I would allow this answer if you could point me to the manufacturer.

All I want is a complete answer that would lead me to the manufacturer.
As a dealer I can work only with the manufacturers and not resellers.

golan007-ga,

Here's another possibility, direct from the manufacturer, Suresafe
Technology, in Taiwan:

http://www.suresafe.com.tw/supplier.html

Under "Product Series" click on RF "Signal/Spy Detectors" to go to
their selection of cellphone detection equipment. NOTE that there are
three pages of devices, shown 9 to a page.

There are a large variety of equipment options here. The specs aren't
quite complete enough to be 100% sure that one of them will fully meet
your needs, but if it ain't here, it may well not exist.

This product looked particularly interesting:

=====
Product ID: SH-055UR

RF Signal Detector (Palm size), PRO model

This device can detect the popular wireless CCTV camera, wireless
phone, wireless bug and cell phone for 50MHz~6.0GHz. Its has 10 LEDs,
when it detects a peeping camera or cell phone, the LEDs will light
from Green to Yellow to Red, and the beeping sound will change from
Slow to Rapid indicating the strength of detected signal
=====

The missing piece of information has to do with whether or not these
devices can detect phones on standby. You can contact the
manufacturer directly at:

Address: 11F-1, No. 29, Sec. 3, Roosevelt Road, Taipei City, 106, Taiwan
Tel: 886-2-23626787 (Rep.)
Fax: 886-2-23625057
E-Mail: suresafe@seed.net.tw

Let me know if this does the trick for you.

Suresafe is a supplier that we work with and he has no device that can
dettect cellphones in a standby mode. All of their devices detects
only active transmitions.

I'll try to be more specific on the device we are looking for:

We need a SMALL handheld device that can detect all kind of cellular
phones even when they are in Standby mode (not in a "talk" mode).

The device that someone offered to us ("The CellPhone Detector" by
Zetron) is generally good but its not handheld (needed to be
permanently installed) and we need something portable.
