I was wondering if there is a database solution that I can buy for
Filemaker pro for macintosh that achieves similar results to what is
avalable in Salesforce.com. Salesforce if way too much than I need,
and I am hesitant as far as what I would do if I wanted to leave
salesforce.com I am looking for a Filemaker solution that can be
online and accessed by multiple users to manage contacts, sales leads,
and customer accounts. I need the ability to log calls etc.

Is there something available like this?

Thanks in advance

What version is the fmp? The newest one 7 ?
I know I tried to open a fmp7 solution file with my fmp 5.5 and then
found out then that they don't play well together.
Some good links to places can be found in this online magazine.

Yes, I'm using the newest version of Filemaker, 7.0.

I have looked throught the third-party solution page on Filemaker's
website, but I haven't seen anything that would work like
salesforce.com.

Hi:
Check out http://www.sfafinity.com . Their app works on MacOSX and
provides a SalesForce.com type of interface on your local Intranet.
And supports FireFOx/Mozilla/Safari....
