Is there a high-speed wireless solution for a home network that will
reach almost 2 miles and not quite line of sight?

I want to use this on a ranch in west Texas that is very remote. On
end of the connect is a home network. The other end is a telephone
company equipment building with a fibre connection.

Yikes. I don't believe so. If you had line of sight, maybe.
Without, I think it will be very difficult.

hi,

The solution would be ask your Internet service provider to lay a
cable to your ranch and then set up an access point(like wire less
router) there. In this case you can use high-speed wireless at home
and at ranch but not in between. This is not the best solution but it
would be helpfull for you to work at home and at ranch.if you can wait
for 1 year there is a new technology coming called wimax is coming .It
would solve your problem perfectly.

dinesh.
