This also may interest you:

"A BRAVE pensioner today spoke out to stop others being fleeced by a
prize draw scam.
Ruby Pringle, 71, from Berwick, spent £75 chasing a cash prize which
Trading Standards officers from Northumberland County Council doubt
ever existed.
In June Ruby received a prize notification from a Holland-based
company called FMAGG, which also calls itself the World Foundation for
Prize Awards.
Ruby was sent a certificate claiming she?d won £15,000 ? but she had
to send off two cheques before she told her daughter about her ?luck.?
Instead of a small fortune, Ruby received a twenty-two page guide on
how to use her ?Magical Numbers? from someone claiming to be an
Astro-Clairvoyant.
Mick King, County Trading Standards Officer says: ?Mrs Pringle is very
courageous for making this stand so she can warn others not to follow
her example.
We have warned about these scams in the past. They usually work as
mass mailshots so we expect many more households in Northumberland to
have been targetted. We?d urge people to be vigilant and warn their
relatives.
We all hope for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but nobody
gives you anything for nothing. If you have to send money to claim a
prize then it is a scam and the best place for the letter is the bin!?
Details of the con are being sent to the Office of Fair Trading?s
International Section, who will alert the Dutch authorities."
