Hello, I have found some sources of information for Shropshire, but it
is very regionalised as were most things during those times. Also some
sources of the information require you to travel to different
locations to view microfilms. I have studied British social and
economic history and it may even be a case of locating a book of a
historian from a library and extrapolating paragraphs. Is this
suitable answer to 'where do I find'? i.e. you are looking for the
sources of information, rather than the actual formulation of the
information? I guess ultimately it depends on the level of detail you
are after and if you require it for all counties.
kind regards

Thanks for the prompt reply. I should have been more specific, i.e.
I'd like a list of books or other where I can myself research the way
in which guilds operated in U.K. during the first half of the
sixteenth century. I particularly need information on those
connected with the clothing trade, manufacture, sale and importation
of goods, the rights, obligations and no-go areas for mercers,
tailors, etc. in London. Would appreciate help.
