Ideally, I would like just the "n" in #ifndef to show up in a
different color.  I will consider the question answered if the whole
#ifndef shows up in a different color.  I am a software engineer, and
very familiar with UNIX so technical instructions are fine (better,
even).  I just don't have time to zen out with E-lisp right now.  If
this can be done through the .emacs file, even better.

In case the implication is not clear, I want #ifndef to show up
differently from #ifdef.  In the default CC mode, they both show up in
the same color.

Well, I can't answer the question, but just a hint if you decide to do
it on your own after all: ccmode is not at all responsible for this.
What you want to do is modify font-lock-mode, which is defined in your
emacs lisp dir in the font-lock.el file. Hope that helps, good luck...
