Dear vango,

I couldn't find any material on him in artists' databases as well as
conventional ones, except for this encyclopeadic referrence in Italian
(which I think you already saw), in a lexicon of engraving artists
(what he probably was?) -

I Disegni della Calcografia 1785 - 1910, a cura di Marina Miraglia,
Roma, II, pp.299-470, nn.1098-1126, 1129-1286 (you can order it used
from Amazon.com here -
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/8824039782/ltc-political)

Maybe you would like to contact the university professor who wrote
about him and ask him about the artist. It is Enrico Parlato, the
nice guy in the picture -
http://www.unitus.it/lingue/docenti/storia_arte_comparata/aa00_01/storiaartecomparata.htm
(his email is under his picture).

Best,

Hello

don't know if you already know all this but here is the answer of Prof Parlato
to my request in your behalf

....

I'm sorry of writing you back back with such a delay.
I would consider Sanguinetti (1789-1867) a well respected, but I
would'nt call him "famous". As you probably know, he was a student of
Tommaso Minardi and then professor and director of the Academy in
Perugia. A work by Sanguinetti certainly has a market - at least in this
country - where there has been a re-discovery of 19th Century Art. The
value will change according the medium used, and Sanguinetti had a
reputation for water-colours.
In Rome there is a dealer who works mostly on 19th art, his name is
Carlo Virgilio, located in via della Lupa 10, 00186 Roma (phone 06-
6871093). I would suggest you to contact him. Could you e-mail me a
photograph this work?
Sincerely yours,
Enrico Parlato
