When I was running late to meet a buddy who's in the rock music industry, he said "better a little drae time than no drae time at all." What does the term "drae time" mean? | |

Thecurious, I expect that you did the obvious and asked the friend who used the expression. Can you enlighten us? Please? Personally, I was wondering if your friend had any contact to German speakers who used the expression "Drehzeit" or adapted it to "dreh time". Drehzeit is the period scheduled for filming in movie production. Vaguely its use could make sense in the context that you mentioned. Regards, Myoarin |

My guess is that it is actually "Dre" short for Andre. Googlenut |

I thought it was a play on "Dr Dre," the rap artist... http://www.drdre.com/ |
