i lived in ca. for 15 days in 2005.i only made a minimal amount of
money,(less than $8000) and had taxes removed.when i did my taxes,it
seems i am being taxed on my entire years income. i am being taxed on
the money i made outside ca(which is not ca. based)why can't i only
pay on the money i made in ca? why do i have to pay ca. taxes when i
lived in florida for 50 weeks?

look into filing as a part-year resident. Most states have such a filing status.
