Hi!!

This is a common issue that occurs when some program has registered
itself as the default application and it has been uninstalled, then
Outlook Express cannot launch an IE window when you click on a link
within an email.

To solve this do the following, just register IE as the default browser again:

Close IE and OE --> go to Control Panel --> Internet Options -->
Programs tab --> click "Reset Web Settings" --> tick the "Internet
Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" box
(if this box is not ticked, then this is the cause of the problem!)
--> Click OK.
Try if this works, if doesn't try rebooting the PC.

You can also do the following:
Start Internet Explorer --> Select the Tools --> Internet Options -->
Programs tab --> check the "Internet Explorer should check to see
whether it is the default browser" box --> Click OK --> Close Internet
Explorer --> Run again Internet Explorer --> Open Internet Explorer,
and then click Yes when you receive the following prompt: "Internet
Explorer is not currently your default browser. Do you wish to make it
the default? "

Links in e-mail messages should then open Internet Explorer.

If your current browser is not IE you must do the same for such
browser, if you cannot find how to do it just let me know which
browser are you are using and I will give you the instructions.

I hope this helps you. If this answer does not work, please give me a
detailed report of what is happening and I will continue researching
for the solution. Feel free to use the clarification feature all the
times you need further assistance with this question.

Best regards,
