Hi! This is a two part question...

One. How much do Americans spend annually on shower faucets/fixtures?
(Not including hot tubes & saunas.)

Two. How long does the average American spend in the shower?

Thanks in advance for your help. If you need any clarification, please
ask. A generous tip will be included proportional to the level of
detail of your answer.

After more digging I was able to find some figures relating to the
expenditure of plumbing fixtures, as well as for time spent in the
shower by Americans.

1. Expenditures for plumbing fixtures can be found in the Appendix of
a study conducted by The Joint Center for Housing Studies. The Joint
Center for Housing Studies is Harvard University's center for
information and research on housing in the United States.

2. Time Americans spend in the shower:

NCBuy news article: 'Average American Showers For 8 Minutes' [2001-07-19]
http://www.ncbuy.com/news/2001-07-19/1001877.html

"The average length of time spent in the shower is five to 10 minutes
for 60% of those studied."

"Most Americans shower everyday, for 10 minutes or less, and spend 35
minutes of time in the bathroom, on average. These are some of the
not-so-surprising findings on people's ablutions derived from the 1999
Bathroom Habits Survey, American Standards poll of more than 800 U.S.
residents."

"Our studies show that both men and women are spending more time in a custom
shower. But there are differences: men shower to get clean in just 3-5 minutes;
women take 5-7 minutes."
