I have two older printers, one Brother HL-1040 laser printer and the
other an Epson 600 Stylus Color. I would like to find a store in
Chicago (north side of the city, Evanston, Skokie or Niles preferred,
downtown Chicago OK too) that will buy these printers. I would like to
drop these off at the store. I'm not that concerned about price, just
would like to get them off of my hands and perhaps have someone get
some use of them. Both printers work but are of no use to me any
longer. Could be bought for parts only too. Please indicate which
stores, price ranges, etc. Thank you.

You have a number of options - the best place to make money would be
posting on Ebay or Craigslist (www.ebay.com, www.craigslist.com).
Craigs list is smaller version of Ebay but provides a "Chicago" area
where you can post for money or as a freebie - giveaway that people
must pick up. Other then that, you could drop your printers at CSP
computers - 1246 W Belmont - I'm sure they would give you 5-10 $ for
the printer or there is also a computer store on the SE corner of
LaSalle and North Ave. I would put it on Craigslist.com, each to
post there and you would be able to get someone to pick it up from you
and pay you for it.
