bilibo--

The quote is from a book by Richard Bach called "Illusions: The
Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah." It is also repeated in a recent
Bach book that is a sequel to "Illusions" and is entitled "Messiah's
Handbook: Reminders for the Advanced Soul."

Here is a link to just two of many online citations for the information:

Re "Messiah's Handbook":

As you may know, Bach may be best known for his book "Jonathan
Livingston Seagull," which was published in 1976. "Illusions" was
published the following year, in 1977, and also became a best-seller.
Its sequel, "Messiah's Handbook," was published in 2004. All of these
books are very popular and readily available online.

Here are links to Amazon.com's listings for "Illusions" and "Messiah's
Handbook" in inexpensive paperback versions:

In order to confirm the accuracy of these citations, I went to the
Amazon.com listings and used the "Search Inside the Book" feature that
is available for both "Illusions" and "Messiah's Handbook." The
searches that I made "inside the book[s]" at the site confirmed the
presence of the quotation in both books.

Search Strategy:

I first found the information using the following Google search:

"family grow up under the same roof"

After finding the Bach attributions with that search, I went to the
Amazon site and used the simple search term "members" to "search
inside the books" and confirmed the presence of the quote. Here is a
link showing the search result for "Illusions":

Amazon.com:"Illusions": search results

I am confident that this is the information you are seeking. If
anything is unclear, please ask for clarification before rating the
