I am looking for the names of at least 3 buyers, preferably in Texas, who are interested in buying approximately 500 yards of clam and oyster shell. The location of the shell is Anahuac Texas. |

In order to find a buyer I first researched what oyster and clamn shells could be used for. I found this article from the University of Florida http://news.ufl.edu/2004/06/30/oyster-tip/ there is contact information at the bottom fo the article. Included in this article are current uses of shells, with the primary focus of recycling them back form where they came. http://noaa.chesapeakebay.net/AlternativeSubstrates.aspx Another recycling effort http://www.lowcountrynow.com/stories/113002/LOCoystershell.shtml From these articles it appears that the best for the environment and your future generations of oysters and clams is to return the shells from whence they came, back where you got them from. I do have a good lead for selling them, and it is not anything you can Google to find, but I am going to keep it to myslef because I beleive you should return them back into the environment. |
