1) What does a proposal consist of
- A beginning, a middle and an end. It may sound flippant, but this is
standard storytelling. You have an introduction, which explains what
you propose in no more than 3 sentences. You have a middle which
elaborates on what you first began with. You have an end, which
reinforces the introduction and compliments the middle. This is the
basic structure to any proposal for almost anything.
You don't want to give everything away in your proposal, because you
have no way of knowing that your idea[s] will actually be You want to
start a dialogue so that you can build a relationship and from that
relationship you might be able to make a deal.
N.B.
As soon as you release your idea in to the public arena your idea in
effect becomes public property. Be careful with whom you share your
ideas.
2) How to write one including A, B and C
Your A,B & C idea probably map to some existing problem[s] or
potential problems / areas of improvement / something entirely else.
See if there is any research, expert opinion or other information that
will help you in addressing your solutions to their problems /
situation. You're either looking to 1.) Decrease costs 2.) Increase
sales or a combination of the two to get their revenues and profits
up.
3) Tips to write a better proposal
Keep it simple. This cannot be stressed enough. This does not mean
simplistic or even 'stupid' - it just means clear and concise. No
doubt should exist as to what idea or ideas you are wanting to
express.
Use short sentences.
Check your grammar - check, check and check again.
Make it eye-catching.
Make it memorable.
Go and look at advertising that has made an impression on you - go
through magazines and find adverts that you like. What do you like
about them?
4) Template(s) of such a proposal (clearly showing everything that?s
required under subheadings)
What do you exactly mean by this? An example of a proposal that won?
Or just a generic example?
5) Anything else you can add to this list which can be helpful
Try and use as few words as possible. Use pictures - but relevant
pictures that explain your ideas.
