A list of people who have published articles or books in the last 5 years about designing urban communities in Australian settings that are suitable for the needs of young children aged 0-8 years. URL references that I can follow up with would be helpful. |

I forgot to say. The cabe website http://www.cabe-education.org.uk/ CABE Education exists to ensure that young people understand the value of well-designed buildings and spaces. You will find a place on the last page to subscribe to the newsletter, please donate all that you can to the trust. Thanks for your time |

Thanks for the web sites which I was not aware of but found quite helpful. If you know of anything with more of an Australian flavour, I would b grateful to hear of them. TIM |

I can't help with Australain flavor, but vehicals are a major hazard, followed by sharp edges at heights of 1/10 th meter to one meter. Zero to 8 year olds are likely to crawl through things with dimentions of about 1/10 th meter and get stuck. Falls on stairways are rarely fatal, but injuries are frequent, so all on one floor is safer for all ages. Neil |
