I asked Google that the address of my former website be removed since I no longer use AOL. That address was hometown.aol.com/isabelnc/myhomepage/pet.html. I've moved the site to http://www.isabelcutler.com/RickyPageOne. I subitted the new site to Yahoo for listing in Google and it hasn't happened. How to get the old address and links out and the new address and links in? | |

I am sure you will get an official answer from google on that one. Let me just provide you with two quick links that may help you: ://www.google.com/remove.html and ://www.google.com/addurl.html The text on the 'remove' URL even addresses your specific problem. If 'Google Answers' leaves the question open, and you are satisfied with this very quick and terse answer, then I wil gladly post it as answer, and collect the fee ;-) Please advise as comment or question clarification... All the best with your new URL, --p |

Hello! If you goto Google's Refrence at: ://www.google.com/remove.html#change_url It tells you everything you need to know. My advice would be to look at useing HTTP 301 re-directs, as they will tell the googlebot to update itself to the new URL. That is covered in the mentioned link. THanks! -Matt |
