Yes you can just write over windows XP home with the Win2k Disk.
Though XP home is alot better honestly overall..

You will just need to boot off the Win2k CD and choose to delete any
partitions that are their already (XP HOME PARTITION) then recreate
the partition then you will Format the disk using NTFS (Quick), once
that is done it will take you through the installation of Win2k. Its
not too difficult at all, really just follow the step by step. =)

Pitfall, XP home is more stable and safer for home use vs. Win2K.
-XP Home manages memory better for all software programs.
-XP home has a built in firewall (which is ok) unless you already have
a router for your DSL\Cable line (assuming you have high speed
internet)
-XP is alot easier to install drivers for any machines to get all your
hardware working.

I wonder if ghardenb-ga wants to keep his/her documents, though. They
need to be backed up first.
