I am new to trading stocks online and I am looking for reliable
references (screening tools, newsgroups, web sites) that can help me.
I do not want to day-trade as such (more like swing trading), and I
certainly do not need any of the thousands of "questionnable" web
sites out there. I don't want to make millions as some of these
ridiculously promise, I just want to learn hands on with modest
investments. Any web sites, tools, newsletters, etc, that can be
trusted a bit ? |

MSN Money -- Microsoft's web page on investing -- has some good
"Investing 101" materials:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/Content/Investing/Startinvesting/Startinvesting.asp
Check out the section labeled "The Basics"
Are these the sort of things you're looking for...?

You're quite welcome, but don't go away just yet....!
Is there any other information I can get for you?
I have not yet posted a formal answer to your question. I'll be happy
to do so, if you have everything you need.
But if you would like additional information, I'd be happy to provide it.
Just let me know.
Thanks...and a happy holiday (and hopefully, a prosperous new year!),

Hi,
The Microsoft site seems to have a lot of what I am looking for.
Except maybe a good stocks screening tool. Something that allows to
search for stocks based on certain criteria (like EPS, P/E, PEG, price
range, price change, etc). Would you know of a good one ?
Thanks again and happy holidays
