Kaplan University or the University of Phoenix.

2) I would like to know how what procedures or processes are required

Dear JM Hines,

I got the information regarding U. of Phoenix. The information is
unfortunately very short and could be summarised as:

- There is only one honor society;
- They have no formal procedures for establishing such groups.

Would you like that as (half) an answer?

Sure, I will accept 1/2 the answer. But can you tell me the source of
the info you are giving?

Thanks

Dear JM Hines,

Thank you for the opportunity to post this as an answer.

Well, I got it from the horse's mouth (and I am still hoping to get
the second half).

In an email from the nice media relations department at the University of Phoenix:

Reagrding your second question: "we have no formal process to approve
societies, student groups or organizations. Due to our size and the
fact that our students are working adults that either commute or are
in programs online, it is not a manageable. We look at any request on
an individual basis."

And regarding the first: " We are, however, a member of Sigma Theta
Tau ( this is a nursing honor society ? we are the Omicron Delta
Chapter)"

Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society
<http://www.nursingsociety.org/>

Omicron Delta
<http://www.omicrondelta.net/>

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it. Methodology:
- Contacting the Media Relations department at Phoenix.
