Hi GA Community.... Here is my question: Who would make the best Santa Claus here in the GA community and why? Everyone put your "thinking caps" on please and tell me who should be nominated to be the *real* Santa and why :) Steph53 |

Why our friend Bryan (AKA Probnopublico) of course. I've heard him described as "a jolly old elf" (except maybe the jolly part). |

I vote for myself, of course. Sorry about the anonymity but it wouldn't be any fun if you knew who we really were, would it? http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-12/915691/santa.jpg (I'm the one on the left by the way. No kidding - It really is me!) tutuzdad-ga |

Hi Steph, What a great question! You do realise of course that you have reduced the selection response to include only us blokes. I suspect that you might post another question as to the best rendition of Mrs. Claus. It's a tough question too, as there are many blokes whom fit the criteria. To portray Santa Claus one must be amiable, approachable, courteous, contributing, forgiving, thoughtful and of course timely at least once per year. It would be fun to nominate my old mate Probo to the position of Santa Claus. However, I have visions or rather audio-visuals of "Bahh Hum-bug" replacing the time eternal "Ho ho ho". Therefore, after much deliberation over the qualities expressed by all contributors, including those who have posted here so far, it is my humbling duty to cast my irrevocable and close photo finish call vote in favour of GUZZI. All the best for Christmas, Phil |

I have for several years now referred to myself as a "Santa in training." My 3 year old daughter, when she first saw Santa, called out, "Daddy!" |

That?s extraordinarily gracious of you Silver. I indeed was thinking of you because I?ve always considered Santa to be slightly enigmatically ambivalent -- the Yo Ho Ho masking a deep inner sincerity, dominating the incipient melancholy of the thinker. And certainly up there for procrastination ?cos he only just gets round to an appearance at the end of the year. Best to all. |

Hi Guzzi Claus, Well you sure gave that some thought. Thanks for the present. I noted you neatly tied in our discussions on those other questions. Amazing. And what a memory you have. Enigmatically ambivalent - I like that. May I borrow the term? All the best, Phil |

Tutuzdad is very tempting, but my choice among Google Answers Researchers for the role of Santa Claus is mother911-ga. Far from being motherly, he is a handsome bear of a man with a home-grown beard and a cheerful attitude that warms all who know him (even those of us who know him only online). |

Hi Phil Surprisingly, ?enigmatically ambivalent? got no hits on Goog. Please accept the phrase as an early Christmas gift, hereby transferring the intellectual property to you. But for Santa of the female persuasion, Ms Pink is abundant with her goodies and Steph can be one of the pixies. Very difficult to type now because my sloe gin this year is truly delicious. Mmmmm. Best |

I will admit several things, I am currently blushing and have been most of the day now. I make a fetching Santa Claus, and can play Kris Kringle as well since my own beard is a nice deep red. I am a gentlemen at heart, so....ladies first. |

Hi mother911.... So glad you found your way here....heheheh I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Funny, but for a long time I thought you were a female ( duh me ). Guess your *nic* threw me off. So, pinkfreud is not the only redheaded researcher here :) Steph53 |
