I am looking for a stone floor often called Javastone. It is from
Belgium and was used as balast in ships. This stone is antiqued and
quite possibly could be called Belgium Bluestone. It is dark grey to
black. I need to be able to correspond in English and order this
product myself--2000 square feet or more. I do not need the real
antique stone as a new quarried antiqued product would work as well.

<The commercial name of Belgian Bluestone is Petit Granit. It is also
known as Belgian fossil, Pierre Bleue, Belgisch Granit, Petit Granite,
Belgian Granite and Petit Granit Belge. (Source: The World?s Most
Popular Marbles. Dr. Daniel Pivko. Findstone.com).

Pierre Bleue quarries the stone in Belgium. They are able to supply
tiles in a variety of finishes. Finish Vieux Soignies gives the kind
of finish that is comparable to tiles found in churches and castles.
It gives a grey-blue colour with rounded edges and corners. Abbaye is
a finish that is speckled dark grey to black that is typical of
abbeys. Conception is a finish that gives a feeling of age. It brings
out the fossils, shells and crinoids.

If you click on site for private individuals and then on products and
then on finishes, a list of the various finishes will be shown.
Clicking on the name gives a photograph of the finish.

From the home page if you click on ?Site for professionals? and then
?Info request? (bottom menu), you can place an order or arrange to be
contacted by a representative.
