Any man who would not open a gift from his wife on valentine's day has a problem. Any wife who has to ask what to do with the gift and card also has a problem. Re-examine your relationship with him and ask yourself, "Would I be better off with him or without him?" Return the gift and use it as a down payment for a get-a-way fund. |

Well... it depends on why he would not open them... |

It would have to have a VERY good reason. If he was capable of opening it he should have. It was VERY inconsiderate, bordering on cruel, not to have graciously accepted and opened the card and gift. |

Put them out of sight and wait and see what happens. If he just forgot Valentine's Day, maybe he felt that it was inappropriate to open a gift when he had none for you. Hopefully, he will make up for that today, although I must agree with Daniel that he should have handled the matter more tactfully. If he doesn't ...? I am sorry. |

Use it as a weapon to bean him in the head with when he walks in the door, followed by water balloons and shaving cream fight. This could lead to a lot of fun! |

Open them yourself to find out who sent them. |

Does he know it is from you ? - If so, does he disapprove of artificial 'occasions' ? There is also a possibility that GF MkII is on the scene, and he is narked that she is trying to precipitate things. Probably he hates organized schmaltz. Possibly he feels guilty that he had not done the same for you ? Personally I detest commercial crud ... most likely he feels the same way. |

Sorry hun, I'm with everyone else here. If he would not open a valentine's day gift from his wife, I really don't care to hear the excuse. Why can he not act like every other guy say "oh thanks honey" and get it out of the way. At least that way he would have appeared somewhat gracious. If he opens it now, it is almost an insult, actually yes it would be because valentine's is only one day a year and if he cannot act accordingly on this one day. Then BAH Hum bug to him too. See if he gets his tools or whatever it is he is thinking of for christmas. Hahaha NO. Good luck, and garbage the gift. Or return it and like daniel said, get yourself something nice. :) -Jamie- |
