As you know, I airlifted in a few crates last year and they were DELICIOUS but I hear that this year's crop might have suffered from too much pesticide use. What's the view from where you sit? |

Welcome back! As they always say, where there are bananas, there are banana herats! Here are some recent figures (no 2005 data yet since statistics are kind of slow in this neck of the woods). Figures in Millions of Pesos: (Current Prices) BANANA 2002: P28,565.88 2003: P30,069.18 2004: P35,507.68 Growth Rate 2002-2003: 5.26% 2003-2004: 18.09% The excjange rate is P51.45 to $1 So basically, it was kind of good the past couple of years. You can also get data for constant prices on page 7 while the numbers cited above are on page 8. Great stuff, EA, Many thanks. I was chatting about angels earlier today with a friend, he reckons angels don't need wings because the air up there is so rarefied. I told him that I thought it was part of the uniform. What's the truth? Bryan |

Since we get our ideas of angels mostly from the Bible, maybe it would be good toi have them as reference here. Those who study the Bible seems to agree with your friend. http://www.gotquestions.org/angels-wings.html Thanks again and nice to have you back! |
