Here is a link to a list of several possibilities for finding Go
boards and stones for sale in Manhattan:
New York Go Center: Go Books and Equipment
http://www.pipeline.com/~newyorkgocenter/nycretail.htm
I have called the one listing that has a toll-free number, The Chess
Forum on Thompson Street, and they confirmed that they have the items
in stock.
It is very likely that at least one of the other sources listed will
also have them.
There is also a Go Club in Brooklyn, which has a website and contact
information, but apparently does not list equipment suppliers on its
site. Here is a link to its home page:
Brooklyn Go Club
http://www.brooklyngoclub.org/jc/bgc.html
I am sure that one of the proprietors of the Brooklyn Go Club would
also be happy to help you find a source for the equipment.
In the unlikely event that these sources don't work out (even after my
telephone confirmation from The Chess Forum), please ask for
clarification, and I would happy to continue to assist you.
Search Strategy:
I knew that there was a Go Club in New York City, and I found its
website with the following Google search:
brooklyn OR "new york" "go club"
I am confident that this is the information you are looking for, and I
am happy to be able to provide it to you promptly. I anything is
unclear, please ask for clarification before rating the answer.
