I need to convert some images that are currently in the "ERDAS Imagine" (.img) image file format to something Adobe Photoshop recognizes. Tiff perhaps. I would prefer that this software be free or under $50, and that it have a real User Interface and not be a command-line-only app. If it must be a command line app, make sure instructions for use are included in the simplest terms. Seriously, pretend I am a brain damaged monkey or a small child that is extremely drunk. | |

Looks like that is a different .img format - a 1 bit one. I have come accross three different .img file types but I'm only interested in the "Erdas Imagine" format. It's used for dealing with huge files - usually geographical data. |

Thanks for the info. I'm not familiar with ERDAS Imagine files, so I didn't know that there are other types of .img files. This looks interesting: http://imgssupport.intergraph.com/Tools.asp?ID=14&Product=geovec&SORT=Title |

Yeah, that seems to be a command line app - I tried to figure it out a few days ago and was completely flummoxed it's installation notes say to "Download to your product bin directory". Where is that? To which "product" does this refer? |
