I work for a company that recruits speech language pathologists
(SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs), and physical therapists (PTs)
and contracts them out to school districts throughout the country. We
specialize in providing bilingual therapists (especially
Spanish-English)to our clients (schools).
We are looking to expand our services to new states - namely Texas,
California, Arizona, Florida, Illinois and possibly Massachuteses.
Typically, the special education departments of school districts
handle the coordination of these services. There are usually
coordintors within those departments who make the hiring decisions
(i.e. the "speech coordinator"). Sometimes the Human Resources dept
of each district might also be involved. I would like to know what
specific school DISTRICTS in cities such as Austin, Houston, Dallas,
Phoenix, Miami, Chicago, and/or Boston have the greatest current need
for bilingual therapists (SLPs primarily)?
Second, I would like to know what those specific districts pay
independent contractors (not direct hires!) for these types of
services. Rates can be hourly or salaried. This information is
sometimes public record via RFPs (requests for proposals) that have
been issued in the past. If possible, I would like to know the names
of companies who were awarded these contracts and how much they were
paid.
If there is any other useful information I can provide to help your
search, please let me know. |
