I am using a Dell Inspiron 6000 widescreen laptop with an ATI radeon
Mobility x300 , 128 MB, graphics board.

I ahve a viewsonic, square screen, standlaone monitor attached.

Is there a way to set up two vidwo settings so that I can fill the
screen on the viewsonic - so it is not running as a clone but as a
spearate monitor with its own video setup? This I hope would enable
me to use the full screen real estate of the Viewsonic - and not see a
widescreen clone image.

I am not interested in having 2 montiors with the image extending from
1 screen onto the next - but just 2 monitors.

Iis this doable at all?

If so, is it doable with the board I have?

If not - what type of board (brand, model) do I need to purchase
(maybe with another laptop) to accomplish this?

Thank you.
