Ruth Dicker was shown at numerous galleries in the Bay Area and New
York City in the past but currently I am unaware of any galleries with
her work. I too am interesting in following her art. A 1960's piece
came up for sale on an auction site in Nov 2004 for the ridiculously
low price, but I never saw it or knew who bought it. There are also
some posters of her paintings available for sale on ebay right now.
Are you more interested in buying or selling? Are you looking for
more biographical information as well?

I am interested in selling a large piece (6'x6'--actually in two
panels) of a yellow meadow seen through black tree trunks in the
foreground which I've had since the 60's and just won't work in our
current house. We also have two other small Dickers that go
together--a bird in a tree on one panel and more of the tree on
another. She was a family friend of my parents--we've known her since
the early 1950's.

I posted a comment earlier but it has since been deleted for some
reason. Do you have pictures you could send me of the paintings? I
can get you in contact with the Dicker family who would be interested
in the paintings and or could offer a venue at which to sell the
paintings.

to jmugatu-ga: why would I need you to put me in touch with the Dicker
family when I already said they're family friends? I'd like to sell
the painting without bothering them. The painting (not paintings) is
wrapped in our garage so I don't want to unwrap it just to take a
picture of it. I reiterate that I'd like the names of galleries that
buy and sell her works.

As it turns out, The Dicker family is very interested in being
bothered. Thomas, her son, and I, her grandson, are making plans for
a final show and sale to take place during the spring or summer. We
would be honored to include your painting at the sale. Also, we might
be interested in buying it back from you or offering a trade for a 6'
x 6' diptych that is more in line with your current home decor. It
appears that google answers does not allow posting of personal contact
information, so if you would be interested in participating please
call Ruth's home phone number and leave a message or post again in
this forum. We are very excited to have found this posting and
continue to seek out information as to where all of the Ruth Dicker
paintings have ended up. Thank you.
