I need a tile made by Florida tile. It has Made in the USA on the back in a square and then is followed with the number 87 in another square and then the number 813 in yet another square. It is a yellow color with grayish texture throughout it but is red in color (almost like a clay) inside. I have to replace a dinning room, kitchen and laundry room if I cannot find at least 60 pieces to fill in where some walls and cabinets were removed with a small redo project. |

Sorry, but those numbers you're reading from the back of the tile don't really mean anything. (They mean something to the production team, but not to anyone else.) What IS needed is either the name of the series (like Granite, Tough One, etc) or the color # (like 8701, 8214) stuff like that. What state are you in? You can look at Florida Tiles website to find a distributor near you & they may be able to identify it. That way, even if they no longer have it, at least you would know the series name & color #. Good luck! |

You might want to browse through the prior questions on this subject (most of them were not answered) to see if you can find some helpful hints for finding your tile. http://answers.google.com/answers/search?q=discontinued+tile&qtype=all&btnG=Google+Search Good luck. ~ czh ~ |

I work at Florida Tile, the numbers pressed into the back of your tile don't really mean anything, they identify the punch number though they might narrow down the year they were pressed. There is an online catalog at www.floridatile.com, at that site you can also order a "hard" catalog. The product line is constantly changing so what you want might no longer be available but there might be something very similar still being run right now. By the way, the tile is red because it's red Georgia clay, though we've just recently started to experiment with porcelain... |
